Hongqiao Port: Information Collection Work for Self-service Clearance Channel

Eight kinds of people with biometric chips and having their fingerprints registered can use the self-service clearance channels.

Reported from the Frontier Inspection Station of Hongqiao, the port will start the information collection work for self-service clearance channel on Apr. 10 and eight kinds of people with biometric chips and having their fingerprints registered can use the devices.

1. Mainland residents holding passes to and from Hongkong and Macau or Hongkong Macau special administrative region passes on business exchanges with the valid endorsement for multiple times

2. Mainland residents holding entry and exit permit to and from Taiwan with the valid endorsement for multiple times

3. Chinese citizens holding entry-exit passes with multiple entries allowed in one year (registered ports only)

4. Hongkong and Macau residents with mainland travel passes

5. Taiwan residents holding mainland travel permit valid for five years

6. Aliens holding foreign passports and China’s permanent residence permit

7. Aliens holding foreign electronic passports and residence permits valid for more than six months

8. Chinese crew members working on regular international flights and foreign crew members with visa-free entry or Visa C and Z for one year and above or residence certificates

It is learnt from the staff of the Frontier Inspection Station of Hongqiao that passengers who meet the above requirements can use the self-service clearance channels after their biometric chips and fingerprints having been checked in the passport control area.
