70 trade leaders from Ctrip, Focus Media, Vision Knight Capital (China) Fund and so on gathered at Shanghai Greenland Conference Center to exchange ideas about “new retail, new travel, new life and new service”. The activity coincided with the launch of “Internet plus Consumer Service” Innovation Pilot Zone in Changning, for which Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce and Changning District Government directed the co-operation of “2017 China Internet plus New Business Summit” by Changning District Youth Federation and IYIOU, presenting a feast of mind in Chinese domain of consumer service.

District Governor Gu Honghui and Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce Yang Chao addressed the summit. Gu hoped a platform for exchange and collaboration between enterprises can be built up and rules of startup and competition featuring fairness, equity, honesty and transparency can be established to promote the development of “Internet plus Consumer Service”. Yang expected the building of “Internet plus Consumer Service” Innovation Pilot Zone to show full demonstration effect, thus fostering more new technologies, industries, business types and models and strengthening the guiding and driving role of new consumption as to the whole industry chain.

The boom of emerging industries relying on the Internet in recent years has strongly boosted the transformation and development of traditional industries, fueled cooperation across fields and driven economic and social innovations, thus the government highly values and supports “Internet plus” industries. As a central district of relatively great strength and balanced development, Changning embraced the launch of “Internet plus Consumer Service” Innovation Pilot Zone last year and sought to innovate the development model of “Internet plus”. After a year of efforts, Changning is fast turning into a cluster of enterprises in “Internet plus Consumer Service”, cradle of institutional innovation for emerging industries on the Internet, the center of projects for venture investment, and the No. 1 choice for developed “Internet plus” enterprises to enter Shanghai market.

In July last year, Changning initiated in Shanghai to reform the way of firm registration into “one license registered for several addresses”, so far benefiting four Internet-based enterprises in the district, namely, ExFresh, Wisdom & Life, Pumpkin Coach and Chuandu Gym. It’s expected that Changning will seek to spread the benefits to more enterprises in the district and even the whole city. In addition, since Changning is China’s first “online market supervision and service demonstration area”, it’s signed an agreement of food safety cooperation with Meituan Dianping Group that lead the industry of “Internet plus Restaurant” and cooperated with 10 key enterprises in the district, including Ctrip, Gewara and Spider, to build up “Consumer Rights’ Protection and Honesty Alliance of Changning District Online Service Firms” for social co-governance. Changning will also adhere to enhancing people’s experience and providing better and more convenient services, and keep upgrading people’s consumptions by means of building smart business area and precision marketing in community.

At the summit, the founder of IYIOU Huang Yuanpu released “2017 China Internet plus Consumer Service TOP 100” of IYIOU think tank, and Shanghai “Internet plus Industry Alliance” and “Shanghai Information” Internet Think Tank were also founded in the hope of driving Internet plus Consumer Service in Shanghai.

Present at the summit were also business leaders and top investors in China’s consumer services, including Liang Jianzhang, Co-founder and Board Chairman of Ctrip, Jiang Nanchun, President of Focus Media, Li Bin, President of Macalline, Long Wei, Co-founder of Dianping, Shen Hongbo, GM of China Unicom Shanghai Branch, Xia Yiping, Co-founder and CTO of Mobike and Shao Jun, Co-founder of DT Capital Partners, who exchanged thoughts about the current development of consumer services and the challenges that confront enterprises of consumer services, and visioned the future of the field.
