Signing up for 2018 L’Avenue Instrumental Music Competition for Youngsters

Aiming at creating professional platforms for children faddists on music, L’Avenue will launch 2018 L’Avenue & Shanghai Caopeng Music Center Instrumental Music Competition for Youngsters -- Play for Future Season Ⅱ in another collaboration with Shanghai Caopeng Music Center. IQIYI has been invited as a sole agency to record videos exclusively, and you can see your child’s performance through iQIYI.

The sign up is open online starting March 8. The competition is divided into three stages: audition, rematch and final. Players are grouped according to their ages.

The players are divided into three groups professionally: string group, wind group and percussion group. Among them, a golden prize, a silver prize and a bronze prize will go respectively for primary and middle school string groups. The same prizes go for primary and secondary school wind/percussion groups (including brass, woodwind, percussion groups) respectively. Besides, the panel of judges will select the most promising player and the best artistic performer. The contest also features online voting for favorite players. The most popular one is eligible for the access to the final.

Online registration: March 8 - April 29. It’s started already! Join the music trip!

Audition time: May 5 - May 6 / May 12 - May 13.

For audition, each player plays a less than 3-minute tune subject to composite assessments (to be released via phone/SMS, or WeChat public account for the eligibility for the final).

Match time: May 20 to May 21. The final list will be announced.

Final time: June 2 - June 3.

Finalists will perform the required and self-selected repertoires, each score consisting of the final score. In the final, winners will be awarded certificates and prizes. Winners of the gold, silver and bronze prizes have the chance to perform on the stage, and participate in the performance of the Shanghai youngster symphony orchestra.


Instruments in the competition are divided into strings, brass, woodwind and percussion. Drumstick and other kinds of instruments are prepared by the performers.
