Int’l Exhibition of Traditional Fine Arts Unveiled

The Eighth International Exhibition of Traditional Fine Arts, sponsored by Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture, Radio, Film & TV, the Changning District Government and the Shanghai Creative Industry Association, opened at Shanghai Art Collection Museum recently.


Taking “Reconstruction of Tradition” as the theme, the exhibition attracted well-known painters, artists of applied arts and inheritors of intangible cultural heritage from China, Japan, South Korea, Iran, Ukraine, India, Germany and Poland to attend, and exhibits include Longquan celadon, Jian Zhan porcelain of Jian Kiln, cloisonné, copper sculpture and traditional musical instruments of China, jewelry of Ukraine, the Seven Treasures Japanese Cloisonné Enamels, gradient wood engraving of Germany, artistic installation of the UK, porcelain of Poland, jewelry of Israel and oil painting of India.


The exhibition will be held until June 25, and all exhibits will be moved to Shanghai Art Collection Museum-Takashimaya Art Space for an itinerant exhibition since June 28. The Sixth International (Shanghai) Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Forum and the Fourth International (Shanghai) Cultural Tourism Projects Promotion Conference also raised the curtain on the opening ceremony.
