AI marks new round of development

The 2018 AI+ New Business Summit will debut on the seventh floor of ShanghaiMart at Xingyi Road next Thursday.

 

 

 

 

Guests invited include Wang Xi, a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Michael Irwin Jordan, professor at the University of California, Berkeley. Jordan is a member of the National Academy of Science, a member of the National Academy of Engineering and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

 

Others on the list include Maarten de Rijke, a member of the Royal Dutch Academy of Arts and Sciences, Jiang Nanchun, the founder of Focus Media, Xu Ming Qiang from Microsoft (China), Keith Ross, dean of engineering and computer science at NYU Shanghai, DeepBlue Technology CEO Chen Haibo, WestWell Lab CEO Tan Limin and Xiaocheng Zhu with Beijing Power Cloud Intelligent Venture Capital Co.

 

 

 

 

The summit will have eight parallel sessions, such as the AI products summit, AI+ new service summit, AI+ education summit and AI+ retail summit as well as a global AI leaders’ summit as a prelude. 

 

The three-day event is expected to attract more than 4,000 attendees. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Changning authorities will issue preferential policies this year to support the development of artificial intelligence, according to district leaders.

 

A cluster of artificial intelligence research and developments are expected to be built in the east of the district. AI startups, applications and demonstrations will get together in central Changning where unmanned convenience stores, smart home appliance stores and a fresh produce market will also be built.

 

In the west of the district tech giants are investing in AI technology to power the next generation of aviation.
