In light of an east-middle-west industrial framework, three large economic zones have formed in Changning District: the Hongqiao International Business Center featuring foreign investment and high intensity of office buildings, the shopping and recreational center around the Zhongshan Park area, and high-tech, garden-like industrial park to the north of Hongqiao International Airport housing the regional head offices of both domestic and multinational companies. The Multimedia Park, the Withhub Software Park and the International Business Park make the new pillars in the District’s economy.
