According to the airport’s border inspection post, major flight adjustments will be made at Pudong gateway from October. The border inspection authorities particularly reminded passengers to pay close attention to the flight changes to avoid unnecessary trouble.

From October 26, 2008 to March 28, 2009, various airlines will successively implement their 2008 autumn and winter flight schedule.

■Lufthansa will alter the departure and arrival time on its autumn and winter schedule. The arrival time of Flight LH728 will be at 11:15 a.m., the departure time of Flight LH729 at 1:50 p.m., the arrival time of Flight LH726 at 3:35 p.m., and the departure time of Flight LH727 at 11:50 p.m.

■Qatar Airways will launch its winter flight schedule with two flights daily (five days per week, i.e. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday). The arrival time of Flight QR888 will be at 00:50 a.m., and the departure time of Flight QR889 at 11:35 p.m., more than one hour ahead of its original schedule.

■United Arab Emirates Airline will maintain its winter flight schedule with four flights daily and seven days a week, except for an hour put ahead of its original schedule. The arrival time of Flight EK302 will be at 03:05 p.m. and the departure time of Flight EK303 at 11:00 p.m.. Meanwhile, the arrival time of Flight EK304 will be at 10:25 p.m. and the departure time of Flight EK305 at 06:15 a.m. Yet from October 26 to December 15, the Flight EK304/5 will be somehow canceled.

■From October, Shanghai Airlines will inaugurate its direct charter flights from Shanghai to Saipan on a six-day schedule (i.e. October 6, 10, 13, 17, 20, and 24). The Flight FM843 is scheduled to depart at 07:50 p.m., with the return flight FM844’s arrival at Shanghai hub at 05:55 a.m. Launch of these flights is set to facilitate passengers’ access to Saipan.
