“Changning, home to us all”.  In order to assist more foreigners in living, working and residing in Changning to join in the local community and enhance the communication and interaction between foreign residents and Chinese community. The article solicitation on “Rural Commercial Cup” and “My Story About Changning” will be held from March 2008 by Changning Branch of Rural Commercial Bank and Changning Bilingual News, and coordinated by relevant government agencies of Street Administration and Town Administration. The Article Solicitation Committee will also be organized by authorized chief officer of the above units and agencies.

A. Contents and requirements of solicited articles

1. Participants can be foreign residents living, residing or working in Changning of any age groups.

2. Activity period: March-December 2008. Our Bilingual News will set up a dedicated section and publish selected articles our paper.

3.Content: An unforgettable event happened to foreign residents when they living or working in Changning.

4.Requirements on the article: No restriction on the form of articles. The articles will be less than 800 words in either Chinese or English.  Please also attach a photo of the writer at work or in life.

B.Solicitation of articles

1.Except for notices issued on “Changning Daily” and “Changning Daily Bilingual News”, solicitation for articles both in English and Chinese may be distributed by Residential committees of all street and town administration (in communities with more foreign residents) to organize foreign residents to participate in this event.

2.This article solicitation shall be ended on January 2009 and “Excellent Article Award” and “Excellent Organizer Award” will be set up and the award ceremony will be held prior to the next Spring Festival.
