| To further promote the progress of internationalization of the Chinese
Government website, and discuss, exchange, and share the progress and operation
experience of different levels of government websites, the Guomai Internet
Evaluation and Research Center for Government Portal Websites and the Center for
Informatization Study (CIS), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences will jointly
hold “the Second Release and Seminar on the Evaluation Results of the Government
Portal Website's Internationalization” in Shanghai on May 30-31, 2008, with a
view to “exploring ideas, sharing experience, stressing application, and
improving performance” in building and operation of foreign language versions of
government websites, thus providing decision-makers and managers of government
websites with a platform for exchanging ideas and discussions, in promoting
all-round establishment of foreign language versions of government websites.
