A 20-member official delegation of Senegal, headed by Mamadou Ndiaye, Minister of Trade of Senegal, has recently visited Changning. Lu Jiye, Deputy District Governor, and heads of the District Foreign Affairs Office received and accompanied the delegation to visit Shanghai Sculpture Space, Minsheng Art Museum and other cultural venues. After detailing the district’s profile and development in economy and culture, Lu compared notes on Sino-foreign cultural exchange and cultural development base construction with Mamadou Ndiaye. In their visit, the delegates showed great interest in the district’s practices of building art exchange bases and cultivating artistic talents, and hoped to strengthen the cultural exchange between the two countries.
